RIIVEH201D – Operate Light Vehicle

This Operate Light Vehicle course is a one day course that meets the requirements, upon successful completion, to receive a Statement of Attainment, for the Nationally Recognised Training course “RIIVEH201D – Operate Light Vehicle”.

A light vehicle is classified as: under 4.5 tonnes and includes those with provision to carry up to 12 people such as Sedans, Station Wagons, Utilities (2 & 4 Wheel Drive), 4 Wheel Drive Sedans, Vans and Mini Buses.

Who would select this course? This course is has been developed and contextualised for those people specifically working in the Resources, Infrastructure and Construction Industry. This course is also often undertaken by people working in other industries such as the Gas, Oil and Energy sectors.

RIIVEH305E – Operate and Maintain a 4WD vehicle

This Operate and Maintain a 4WD Vehicle course is a one day course that meets the requirements, upon successful completion, to receive a Statement of Attainment, for the Nationally Recognised Training Course “RIIVEH305E – Operate and Maintain a 4WD Vehicle”.

We do not sit in a lecture room for hours discussing four-wheel driving. We deliver a practical hands-on course, proving the driver with realistic training and the opportunity to learn and practice new skills.

The Operate and Maintain a 4WD Vehicle is a practical driving course that is designed to familiarise drivers with the correct use of appropriate range (high or low range), gears and techniques to operate a 4WD vehicle through and over different and difficult terrain. It includes the mechanical understanding and the capabilities and limitations of a 4WD vehicle, without harm to personnel, damage to vehicle and equipment and minimum environmental damage.

SISODRV405A Coordinate Recovery Of 4wd Vehicles

Let’s make it clear from the start – Recovery is classified as a HIGH TO EXTREME RISK activity. We do not (or will not) underestimate the risk or compromise safety when it involves any high risk activities, such as vehicle recovery.

Talk to us first before you selecting any other provider. We guarantee that our trainers skills, technical knowledge, experience and our practical hands on realistic advanced recovery training, is superior and beyond compatible.

Our Trainers knowledge and experience on the subject of vehicle recovery, is from over 20 years of serves in the Military, mostly as Instructors in many skills, one in particularly, was in the field of recovery with a variety of military vehicles, trailers, equipment ranging from 2t -24t and 30t-60t armoured vehicles, in very extreme conditions.

This Advanced Recovery Course is a 1 day course that meets the requirements, upon successful completion (and the completion of the SISODRV302A as the prerequisite), to receive a Statement of Attainment, for the Nationally Recognised Training course “SISODRV405A Coordinate Recovery of 4WD vehicles”

Who would select this course? This course has been developed and contextualised for those people who are:

Issued or required to use a range of vehicle recovery equipment, for example vehicle mounted winch systems, recovery straps and variety of vehicle jacks; and
Those who may travel to remote areas and may need to have the skills, knowledge and confident s to recover their vehicle, should this be required.

Course Aim: Recovery of a 4WD (or in-fact any) vehicle is assessed as high to extreme risk. Australian 4WD incorporates Workplace Health, Safety and Environmental impact practices, Company Policy and Procedure and a Risk Management approach to all of our advanced driving courses, in particularly Advanced Recovery.

SISODRV302A & 404A – Drive and recover a 4wd Vehicle

We do not sit in a lecture room for hours discussing four wheel driving. This is a ongoing practical hands-on driving course, proving the driver realistic off road driving conditions.

This 1 day course meets the requirements, upon successful completion, to receive a Statement of Attainment, for the Nationally Recognised Training courses SISODRV302A– Drive and Recover a 4WD Vehicle and SISODRV404A – Drive a 4WD vehicle in difficult terrain.

This course covers both competencies above and provides the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge required to use appropriate range, gears and techniques to drive a four wheel drive vehicle through and over different terrain and apply basic vehicle recovery techniques. The SISODRV302 & 404A are delivered together by A4ADE to enable course participants to build their confidence, skill, knowledge and competency by operating a 4WD in a broad range of challenging terrain.

The aim of this course program is to familiarise drivers of the key features, capabilities and limitations of their off road capable vehicle whilst developing a clear understanding of the correct and safe use of a 4WD vehicle in an off road situation, where protection of their passengers, the vehicle and the environment, can be demonstrated.

Who would select this course? This course is appropriate for those people who drive a 4WD vehicle as part of their role in Corporate, Government or Voluntary Organisations, for those who plan and deliver outdoor recreational activities.

This course is also appropriate for those people who drive a 4WD for recreational purposes, however, wish to undertake Nationally Recognised training which allows them to learn effective techniques to safely operate a 4WD vehicle off road in difficult terrain.

PMASUP236 Operate Vehicles in the field

Goal of zero incidents: Australian 4WD and Advanced Driver Education fully acknowledge that companies and organisations strives to meet the goal of zero incidents and injuries and are committed to eliminating vehicle incidents involving their employees and contractors.

This Gas Pipeline course is a 2 day course that meets the requirements, upon successful completion, to receive a Statement of Attainment, for the Nationally Recognised Training course “PMASUP236 Operate Vehicles in the Field”.

Note: Elements such as the RIIVEH201D / RIIVEH305E / TLIC2025A can be mapped to this two day course and participants can undertake assessment for these competencies should they require this.

Who would select this course? This course is has been developed and contextualised for those people specifically operating vehicles on the pipeline easement/access roads and off road terrain specifically working in the Gas, Oil, Resources, Infrastructure and construction industry.

This course however, has excellent application to anyone who is required to operate a 4WD vehicle both on and off road and in remote areas, as part of their day-to-day job.

Australian 4WD and Advanced Driver Education are committed to assist employers, contractors and visitors to eliminate or minimise the risk of fatalities, injuries and incidents arising from the use of vehicles by defining the requirements for operating and travelling in vehicles on site and on public and private roads used to access the these sites. Avoiding accidents and unnecessary vehicle repairs will affect the ability of each employer to meet their targets.

Course Aim: The responsibility of all drivers of a light vehicle is to drive in such a way as to prevent being involved in an accident regardless of the action of other drivers or adverse driving conditions.

TLIC3036 – Apply Safe Car Driving Behaviours

Goal of zero incidents: A4ADE fully acknowledge that companies and organisations strive to meet the goal of zero incidents and injuries and are committed to eliminating vehicle incidents involving their employees and contractors.

This Defensive Driving course is a 1 day program that meets all of the requirements to receive a Statement of Attainment, upon successful completion for the Nationally Recognised Training course: TLIC3036 – Apply Safe Car Driving Behaviours, and/or TLIC 1051 Operate Commercial Vehicle

A4ADE Apply Safe Car Driving Behaviours Course incorporates high-level safe driving skill and knowledge required by all drivers to enable them to adopt safe driving behaviours. These are higher order skills, such as hazard perception, judgement, decision making, multi-tasking, risk control and safe driving attitudes across a range of vehicles and driving situations.

Australian 4WD & Advanced Driver Training has designed a ‘Drive Safely Training Program’, incorporating Low Risk Defensive Driving and Apply Safe Car Driving Behaviours. This program is suitable for those driving both on and off road, and is something that should be considered by anyone driving a motor vehicle.

Our very experience and professional trainers will teach you advanced vehicle mastery and control by simulating everyday driving conditions and emergency situations that could confront you on the any road surfaces.

We are passionate about equipping drivers with low-risk defensive driving skills enabling them to become safer and more effective crash-free defensive drivers.

Who would select this course? This course is has been developed and contextualised for any employee that is required to drive a company or commercial vehicle/s as part of their day-to-day driving duties.

This course is appropriate for all industries which is designed to cover a higher level of knowledge of safe driving behaviour, high order skills, risk control, safe driving judgment, decision making and multi taking.

Course Aim: The responsibility of all drivers of a company or commercial vehicle is to drive in such a way as to prevent being involved in an vehicle incident regardless of the action of other drivers or adverse driving conditions.

AURTGA001– – Drive and Manoeuvre Trailers

This Towing Safely course is a 4 to 5 hours course that meets the requirements, upon successful completion, to receive a Statement of Attainment, for the Nationally Recognised Training course, AURTGA001 – Drive and Manoeuvre Trailers. The training will be tailored to suited the type of trailer, such as, off-road caravan or trailers.

Who would select this course? This course has been developed and contextualised for those people who need to tow as part of their job or recreational purposes. This may include those who are required to operate light/heavy vehicles, plant and Marine, as part of their day-to-day duties.

Towing vehicles may include caravans, camper trailers, boats, horse floats, drilling rigs and earth moving machinery. Clients who may wish to enrol in this course (but not limited to):

Resource, mining, construction, communication, energy;
Government, Council, Military, Parks & Wildlife.
Recreational, Tour leaders, Guides.

Course Aim: Drive and Manoeuvre a Trailer has been developed to enhance your on road and off road towing skills, by covering easy to learn techniques, which is designed from extensive experience in all types of situations involving the full range of trailers.

The course addresses the general principals applied to towing including loading, coupling and uncoupling, safety checks and will ensure that your driving will suit the conditions and the terrain. It will cover emergency situations such as a tyre blow out, brake failure, swaying or mechanical failure with your trailer, coupling up and reversing safely and efficiently.
